The Local Aid Resource Center is NJDOT’s promise to help you! We are ready to serve 21 counties and 564 municipalities as NJDOT strives to help improve New Jersey’s local transportation infrastructure.

The Resource Center is the place to share ideas and successes, facilitate collaboration, and introduce new tools and innovations. Our team’s goal is to carry out the mission of the Department by assisting each community with project planning, grant applications, project delivery, guidance through the federal process, and much more.

Our website and multiple social media platforms make Local Aid information very accessible. Information when you need it wherever you are. A dedicated telephone hotline provides yet another communication option to get information and seek help.

The center will fulfill the vision of Commissioner Gutierrez-Scaccetti to assist the local government community by guiding grant applications and the project delivery process while enhancing collaboration with the common goal of a connected and efficient transportation network. Since the launch of the Commissioner’s Commitment to Communities initiative, the NJDOT has been building a team of experts and a place where our local government community can easily find the information, tools, and resources they will need for success.

A Local Aid Resource Center flyer is also available in English and in Spanish/Español.

Local Aid’s mission is to assist local public agencies in advancing focused investments to produce successful projects. The Resource Center Team seeks to collaborate with county and municipal representatives to enhance New Jersey’s local transportation infrastructure. This commitment will strive to create a seamless transportation system where we work, live and play to improve the quality of life for New Jersey’s residents and the traveling public.
